The Lea Valley is often described as the Cucumber Capital of Britain or London's Salad Bowl.
500 Million Cucumbers & Sweet Salad Peppers are grown every year along with Tomatoes, Aubergines, Lettuce, Herbs, Flowers, Trees, Shrubs, Aquatic & Bedding Plants.
Lea Valley Members grow in around 350 acres of Glasshouses stretching From London, Essex, Hertfordshire, Middlesex & Cambridgeshire to Yorkshire.
Lea Valley Glasshouse Growers employ over 2500 staff and produce Fresh food solely for the British Consumer with a retail value in excess of £1bn.
Lea Valley Glasshouse's have been producing food for Britain spanning three centuries and are ideally situated just 15 miles from Piccadilly Circus in Central London.
Many say the rare Chalk Stream filtration of the Lea Valley's water adds a sweeter taste to the produce.
The Association is interested to hear from Landowners in Essex & Hertfordshire who are looking to sell Agricultural land from around 10 to 100 acres.
Ideally the land will be relatively flat and close to existing transport infastructure and utilities.
